Breadbag (Zwiebackbeutel)

A reproduction of a historical Zwiebackbeutel – a simple cotton bag used for storing Zwieback (German army hardtack), a common component of Wehrmacht field rations. The bag is unmarked, as was typical for originals from the WWII era.

This versatile bag was used not only for carrying food, but also for personal belongings, hygiene items, or other small contents. It could be placed inside a breadbag (Brotbeutel), backpack, or larger uniform pocket. The bag is reusable and washable, making it a practical piece of field equipment.

Such bags were commonly found in Wehrmacht supply depots and issued as part of individual rations. Today, it serves as a perfect reenactor accessory, useful as a period-correct food pouch, museum display item, or film prop for historical accuracy.
