A reproduction of the original Deli Bonbons packaging, produced by Schokoladenwerke, which was included in cold rations or front-line food packs for soldiers during World War II. These candies contained vitamins and served as a quick source of energy as well as a means of maintaining morale among Wehrmacht troops.
You can place your own candies inside the reproduction packaging and seal it — ideal for reenactment events where modern packaging is not appropriate. The bonbons were typically carried in the tunic pocket, overcoat, or in the breadbag.
German soldiers were supplied with a variety of confectionery — from simple hard candies to chocolates and drops — as part of an effort to sustain both physical energy and psychological well-being under the harsh conditions of the front.
