These were not official army-issued supplies but commercially available products that soldiers could purchase themselves or receive from their families. The front side carries the typical print “Wehrpost Feldpostbriefe an unsere Wehrmacht”, produced with durable waterproof printing for maximum authenticity compared to the originals.
Original pieces were sold as practical sets containing:
- 25 writing sheets (Briefblätter),
- 20 envelopes with internal print (Briefumschläge mit Innendruck), and
- 10 postcards.
The set is designed as a complete kit. It contains 25 sheets of A5 paper and 20 envelopes, complemented by a collection of ten postcards with period illustrations.
These capture front-line life and equipment in detail. From the crew of the leGrW 36 light mortar and the 2cm Flak 38 anti-aircraft gun in action, to dynamic scenes of infantry in combat.
A significant detail is the included Achtung! warning card, which instructed soldiers on censorship rules and the prohibition of sharing sensitive information regarding units or locations.
Such folders were used in practice to maintain contact between soldiers at the front and their families at home. Originals are now highly sought-after collector’s items and evidence of wartime everyday life.
This replica is suitable for reenactors, museums, film productions, or as an accessory in a period-style field office. Since it is sold empty, it can be used for storing personal letters or as an authentic display piece.
