Replicas of plastic buttons featuring the double cross symbol, used by members of the Hlinka Guard during the existence of the Slovak State from 1939 to 1945. These buttons were worn on service tunics and coats, with the double-barred cross representing a prominent regime symbol of the time. Originally produced from black Bakelite or similar materials, they came in various sizes – larger buttons on the chest, smaller ones on sleeves or lower parts of the uniform.

The Hlinka Guard was a paramilitary organization closely tied to the Slovak government under President Tiso. In addition to guard duties, propaganda, and political repression, the Guard played an active role in the deportation of the Jewish population and the persecution of regime opponents. Authentic uniform components such as these buttons offer valuable material for historians, curators, and reenactors documenting Slovakia’s wartime past.

These replicas are suitable for completing uniforms used in film, theatre, reenactment, or museum displays. Available as a full set in multiple sizes.
