A reproduction of German Feiner Kakao cocoa powder in vintage-style packaging from the Third Reich era. The design, featuring a traditional-style illustration, reflects typical civilian food packaging from the 1930s–1940s.
Cocoa was a popular ingredient for preparing warm drinks, especially in rear areas, schools, and military hospitals. Within the Wehrmacht, it appeared in field kitchen supplies and gift parcels from home, particularly during holidays like Christmas. It was also used to improve the taste of porridges or flour-based meals.
Cocoa powder was mixed with hot water or milk and sweetened with sugar or saccharin. The label Feiner Kakao means “fine cocoa,” indicating a higher-quality product. A perfect addition to reenactor kitchens or display tables featuring both civilian and military themes.
