Reproduction of two World War II-era tea packages – Deutscher Tee and Tonga Tee – representing everyday ration items found in both military and civilian contexts. These labels are designed with historically accurate fonts, logos, and descriptions.
- Deutscher Tee from Friedrich Tschernning (Heilbronn, since 1824) was a typical German herbal tea, often issued to military stores, field kitchens, and medical facilities. Instructions indicated boiling and a 15-minute steep.
- Tonga Tee was an ersatz (substitute) tea based on surrogate ingredients, manufactured by Harke & Co., Hannover. It was officially approved as a wartime replacement product due to limited access to imported tea.
Both types of tea were used in field kitchens, army canteens, or convalescent settings. These reproduction packets are ideal for reenactment, display kitchens, or exhibits portraying soldier life and wartime food logistics.

While the print is excellent, the paper bag itself is vulnerable - I'm sure that originally these weren't supposed to be reused/refilled, but for reenactment purposes...
