Cigars sack (Weber & Jakob Saemann)

A reproduction of paper cigar sacks from the brands Weber Stumpen and Jakob Saemann, based on original period designs from the interwar and wartime era. These paper pouches were used to package affordable cigars — known as stumpen — and were commonly found in tobacconists, colonial goods shops, and military canteens.

Cigar sacks were standard civilian tobacco packaging and were often included in comfort parcels from home or distributed through rear-area supply lines. Each pouch typically contained 3–5 cheap cigars, which soldiers either purchased or received as gifts. Once emptied, the pouches were often reused to store letters, writing tools, or small personal items.

Weber Stumpen is known for its iconic artwork featuring a character in a sombrero, while Jakob Saemann was a traditional tobacconist and dealer in colonial goods. These reproductions are perfect for reenactor displays, personal gear impressions, or as visually authentic props for historical film scenes.
