Reproductions of fruit bar wrappers: Stollwerck, Felsche Fruchtriegel, and generic Frucht-Riegel – sweet supplements that were part of food supplies during World War II. The bars were made from fruit paste (mostly apple) and sugar. Each manufacturer had slightly different packaging, but all reflect the typical semi-civilian food products used during the 1930s–40s.
The wrappers are suitable for holding a modern fruit or muesli bar. Once sealed, they create a historically accurate prop. Fruit bars were usually carried in the tunic pocket, breadbag, or stored in cardboard ration boxes along with other sweets.
The bars consisted of dried fruit pulp with a high sugar content. They served as a quick energy boost and morale snack. Thanks to their simple composition, they were cheap to produce and well-suited for mass distribution in Wehrmacht nutrition plans.
