Reproduction of the German WWII Meldeblock – a standard notebook carried inside the army mapcase (Meldekartentasche), used by officers, drivers, artillery crews, and heavy weapons operators for writing down distances, recording positions, or sketching terrain.
The notebook includes 25 perforated, double-sided sheets. One side features a pre-printed template for entering messages, coordinates, or notes; the reverse side includes a grid, perfect for drawing maps to various scales. The cover's inside page features a key with standard abbreviations and symbols used in the Wehrmacht's tactical language. A typical phrase printed in the block – “Die nicht benutzten Maßstäbe durchstreichen” – means “Cross out the unused scales.”
A historically accurate reproduction of an essential field tool, suitable for reenactment, military history exhibits, or as a functioning notebook styled after original wartime documentation tools.
