
Reproduction of the original Rotbart Be-Be razor blade packaging, a well-known German shaving product from the early 20th century. The brand was founded by Otto Roth in Berlin in 1913, with the name "Rotbart" (red beard) referencing both his name and the legendary figure Frederick Barbarossa. In 1925, Roth merged with Hugo Büchner to form Roth-Büchner AG, which was acquired by Gillette in 1926 to strengthen its European presence.
During World War II, Rotbart Be-Be blades were a standard item in German military canteens and soldiers' hygiene kits. Despite harsh field conditions, personal grooming remained part of military discipline, and these blades were used alongside safety razors, brushes, and soap.
The distinctive red and blue packaging with the razor logo held individually wrapped blades. The Extra Dünn version was intended for finer, more precise shaving.
A historically accurate item for reenactment hygiene kits, medical boxes, personal soldier gear, or as a collectible reflecting the daily life of the Wehrmacht.
