Reproduction of the civilian “Zaza” soap by Kappus, a common household brand in Germany and also available in military canteens during World War II. The packaging follows the original design, including the marketing line “Neue verbesserte Qualität!” (New improved quality).
Zaza was a compact toilet soap primarily used for hand washing, though it was often used as an all-purpose soap. Its small size made it ideal for toiletry rolls, field hospital kits, or hygiene packages for both civilians and soldiers.
The wrapper displays a recommended price of 18 Pfennig and an instruction “Dry after use”. The Kappus brand was already well-known before the war and remained popular long after. With its bold, minimalistic packaging, Zaza is a visually authentic and fitting detail for period hygiene displays or reenactment settings.
