Reproduction of a WWII-era German military optical card (Brillenkarte), used to record prescription details for issuing eyeglasses to members of the Wehrmacht. The card includes data for both eyes: spherical and cylindrical correction, axis, interpupillary distance (P.D.), and lens color or type. It was completed during an eye exam and served as an official document for ordering glasses.

Soldiers requiring vision correction were issued military-standard eyeglasses based on this card – designed to be functional, durable, and visually uniform. These cards were kept either with medical records or in metal storage cases as part of a soldier’s kit.

This item reflects the thoroughness of wartime military administration even in personal health matters. A valuable addition for reenactment medic kits, optical-themed setups, or museum displays focusing on daily soldier life and equipment.
