Replica of the iconic Labello lip balm by Beiersdorf – a product already well-known before World War II and commonly found among both civilians and soldiers. The name Labello (from Latin labium – lip and bellus – beautiful) represented one of the earliest European lip care sticks, designed for convenient daily use.
During the war, it was especially valued in the field – dry frost, wind, and temperature shifts led to cracked lips and skin irritation, which made ointment-based products like Labello essential. Soldiers often carried it alongside personal hygiene items like soap, toothpaste, and Nivea cream – also produced by Beiersdorf.
A historically accurate item for reenactment hygiene kits, period suitcases, film props, or collectors interested in everyday wartime accessories.
