A reproduction of a Wehrmacht soldier's train ticket used during World War II for leave travel or transfers between units. This is a “Kleiner Wehrmachtfahrschein” (small military travel ticket), featuring pre-printed fields for journey details. It is divided into Part I (kept by the train conductor) and Part II (kept by the passenger).
The ticket is printed with waterproof ink and available in two versions:
- Red stripe – for short-distance travel
- Blue stripe – for long-distance travel
The ticket was issued only in combination with a valid leave permit and served as an official authorization for rail travel within the Third Reich. Soldiers typically kept it with their personal documents – stored together with their leave papers, pay book, and medical card.
This type of travel document was a standard part of Wehrmacht logistics, ensuring controlled and documented troop movement during leave or reassignment. Today, it makes an excellent addition to personal papers, reenactment desk setups, or museum displays.
